BYD becomes the global new energy market sales champion
Recently, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released the latest data. In 2024, my country exported 5.859 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 19.3%. China's automobile industry has shown strong development resilience and vitality, and has steadily promoted high-quality development, becoming one of the "golden business cards" to drive economic growth.
Data show that among the top ten enterprises exporting complete vehicles, BYD exported 433,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 71.8%, ranking first among Chinese auto brands in terms of growth rate.
In 2024, China's new energy vehicle production and sales will reach 12.888 million and 12.866 million respectively, a year-on-year increase of 34.4% and 35.5% respectively, and production and sales have ranked first in the world for 10 consecutive years. At the same time, the sales of new energy vehicles reached 40.9% of the total sales of new vehicles, an increase of 9.3% from 2023. China's new energy vehicle brands have been recognized globally and have become the embodiment of new quality productivity.
Among them, BYD's annual sales in 2024 exceeded 4.27 million units, of which new energy passenger car sales exceeded 4.25 million units, a year-on-year increase of 41.1%, pure electric car sales of 1.765 million units, accounting for 41.5%, plug-in hybrid car sales of 2.4854 million units, accounting for 58.5%, and won the sales champion of car companies and brands in the Chinese auto market, and the sales champion of the global new energy vehicle market.
According to the company, BYD's new energy vehicles are now available in 100 countries and regions on six continents around the world, and in more than 400 cities. In addition, BYD's commercial vehicles also became the export sales champion of new energy buses in 2024.
