BYD Tang L pure electric and plug-in hybrid SUV officially launched
BYD Dynasty series new flagship SUV - Tang L officially launched, providing pure electric and hybrid power options, a total of six models.
Built on BYD Super e platform, Tang L has a length, width and height of 5040/1996/1760 mm and a wheelbase of 2950 mm. It is positioned in the medium and large SUV market segment and provides six and seven seats.
The interior adopts an embracing cockpit design with a unique two-color color scheme and matte gray metal decorative panels. The instrument panel adopts a fully digital instrument panel and a 15.6-inch super-large central control screen, and an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) is optional. The hidden air outlet is integrated with the interior design, and the electronic shift lever makes the center console layout more streamlined.
One of the most notable features of Tang L is the integrated drone system equipped with some models. There is a storage space on the roof, which contains drones and charging equipment, which can be deployed with one button, and the cruising range can reach 2 kilometers.
In terms of driving assistance, Tang L is equipped with BYD DiPilot 300 driving assistance system as standard, and high-end models are equipped with roof laser radar. In addition, the car is also equipped with DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit system.
The pure electric version is available in single motor and dual motor configurations. The single motor rear-wheel drive version is equipped with the world's highest power motor, with a speed of up to 30,511 rpm and a maximum power of 580 kW (788 horsepower). The dual motor all-wheel drive version adds a 230 kW front motor, which brings the system's maximum power to 810 kW (1,100 horsepower), and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
All pure electric models are equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 100.53 kWh. The CLTC range of the rear-wheel drive version is 670 kilometers, the all-wheel drive version is 600 kilometers, and the drone version is 560 kilometers. These models are equipped with a 1000V high-voltage platform and megawatt-level flash charging technology, which can last for 400 kilometers in 5 minutes and support dual-gun super charging. When using a 180kW public charging pile, the charging power can reach 351kW.
The Tang L hybrid version is equipped with BYD's latest DM-P technology for the first time, combining an efficient engine with a dual motor. The power system can achieve 0-100 kilometers/hour acceleration in 4.3 seconds, and under the NEDC standard, the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers in low-power mode is only 5.6 liters. The hybrid version is equipped with a 35.62kWh battery, and the pure electric range ranges from 175 kilometers to 215 kilometers depending on the configuration.
